LETTER FROM THE GARFIELD 1969 REUNION COMMITTEE
The Reunion Committee would like to thank each of you for making the 50th Reunion the most memorable and nostalgic reunion event of our graduation class. Truly a successful evening having over 300 classmates and guests present. It was an honor to pay tribute to our classmates who served in the military. We are also proud that we could contribute toward the Garfield High School Scholarship fund.
Thank you Jimmy Espinoza and Greg Esparza with Thee Midniters for taking us back to 1969 with the music we all listened and danced too. The year 1969 was a time of social and political concern at the national level with the Vietnam War, and the community’s rising awareness for enhancing the quality of education being provided to the students in our community. Thank you to the Garfield High ROTC, Garfield High Graphics, and Garfield High Library Services for their support in making our event extra special.
A great night seeing and conversing with friends, and no one wanted the night to end. So many of you are not only successful in your life endeavors, but even more important you are truly wonderful individuals, parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. What a great contribution to the community you continue to make.
We wish you and your families good health, happiness, and continued success in all of your life.
